Natalie Githinji Reveals She Spent 3 Days in ICU After Endometriosis Surgery
Natalie Githinji has opened up about a terrifying moment after surgery left her unable to feel both legs and struggling to lift her right hand.
The media personality revealed that she spent about three days in the ICU after undergoing surgery to treat endometriosis and ovarian cysts.
Speaking about her recovery on Monday, August 31, 2026, Githinji recalled waking up frightened when she realised she had lost sensation in both legs.
Her right hand also kept dropping whenever she tried to lift it.
“Nikaamka sasa… wacha sasa niinue mkono ya right inaanguka peke yake… sifeel miguu zote mbili…” she recalled.
The situation left her fearing that something had gone seriously wrong during the operation.
Githinji said she even started wondering whether doctors had discovered more severe endometriosis in another part of her body.
But a nurse eventually reassured her that the numbness was temporary and was caused by medication administered during the surgery.
That brought some relief.
The recovery, however, was far from easy.
Githinji said her body became heavily swollen, with the left side of her womb particularly swollen. She also had a catheter fitted and described the experience as physically painful and emotionally draining.
She spent approximately three days in ICU as she recovered and was monitored by doctors.
Despite the frightening experience, Githinji said the ordeal strengthened her faith.
Looking at the situation through the story of King Hezekiah in the Bible, she said she found herself asking God for another chance at life.

From 43kg to 62kg: Eve Mungai Fires Back at Body-Shamers
The Kenyan content creator has revealed that she was heavily body-shamed during a period when she weighed just 43kg, with online comments about her slim frame becoming so intense that she says she cried during an interview.
And now, Eve is making it clear that the pressure did not disappear after she gained weight.
The popular content creator recalled the harsh comments she received while reflecting on her old photos, saying: “You guys bullied me hadi nikalia kwa hii interview.”
At the time, Eve’s weight had reportedly remained around the 43kg mark, something that attracted constant attention from social media users.
She later began working out and embarked on a weight-gain journey.
By December 2025, Eve revealed that she had reached 62kg, her highest weight at the time.
But there was a twist.
Even after transforming her body, the comments continued.
Some people questioned her new appearance and even suggested that she should return to her former body.
Eve pushed back, making it clear that her body was not something the internet gets to control.
“You do not get to choose what version of me you like,” she said.
Her revelation has reignited the conversation around body-shaming in Kenya, especially the way celebrities and influencers are judged whether they are considered “too thin” or “too big.”

Foi Wambui Loses Bid to Exit Mutoriah Copyright Case
Foi Wambui has been ordered to remain in a copyright battle over Mutoriah’s hit song “Beta” after a court rejected her attempt to have the case against her thrown out.
The actress and content creator is facing a lawsuit filed by musician Mutoriah over the alleged unauthorised use of his song in an Oppo smartphone advertisement.
The dispute centres on a skit Wambui featured in while promoting Oppo’s Reno 12 5G. Mutoriah claims his music was used without his permission or a synchronization licence.
A synchronization licence is required when copyrighted music is paired with visual content, particularly in commercial advertising.
Mutoriah says he discovered the advert circulating on social media on August 31, 2024.
He later issued a legal notice demanding an apology and other remedies over the alleged copyright infringement.
With the court rejecting Wambui’s bid to exit the case, the copyright dispute now remains alive, putting the use of music in Kenyan influencer and brand campaigns firmly under the spotlight.
