Osoro Cyprian Raises Fresh Claims in Mkisii Ni Mkisii Fallout
The Mkisii Ni Mkisii brand is at the centre of a fresh storm after Osoro Cyprian publicly accused former collaborator Victor Nyaata of allegedly undermining the brand and his career.
Osoro claims a recent KICC show was not organised by the original Mkisii Ni Mkisii team, but by a newly registered company whose name was allegedly designed to resemble the popular Gusii entertainment brand.
The fallout comes after years of collaboration between Osoro and Nyaata through comedy, plays, cultural shows and the Mkisii Ni Mkisii Fest, which became a notable platform for Gusii music and entertainment.
But things now appear to have taken a dramatic turn.
Osoro says he no longer has access to the official Mkisii Ni Mkisii social media accounts. He also claims the dispute has taken a personal toll, alleging he has endured months of emotional distress.
He further alleged that narratives were circulated suggesting he had abandoned Nyaata and claimed some major professional opportunities did not work out because of the fallout.
And Osoro insists the issue is “not about the money.”
According to him, it is about protecting a brand he says he built through years of hard work.
The allegations remain unverified, and Victor Nyaata had not publicly responded to Osoro’s claims at the time of publication.
For now, the big question is simple: What really happened behind the scenes at Mkisii Ni Mkisii?

Larry Madowo Tells Critics to “Cancel” Him After Charlene Ruto’s Koito
Larry Madowo has fired back at critics questioning why he attended Charlene Ruto’s traditional engagement ceremony.
The CNN international correspondent was among the high-profile guests at Charlene Ruto and Tanzanian tech entrepreneur Isaya Yunge’s Koito in Kilgoris, Narok County, on Saturday.
Madowo was seen interacting with President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto, triggering a heated reaction online.
Some critics accused the journalist of betraying them, pointing to his previous coverage of the Ruto administration.
But Madowo appeared unfazed.
His response was blunt:
“Cancel Larry Madowo.”
The journalist is reportedly a longtime friend of Isaya Yunge, which may explain his presence at the private family celebration.
The episode has since reignited Kenya’s growing “cancel culture” debate, particularly over public figures who interact with politicians they have previously criticised.
For now, Madowo appears to have made his position clear.
Cancel him if you want. He showed up anyway.

Hush BK Apologizes As Viral ‘Malebo’ Cover Gets Pulled From YouTube In Copyright Storm
Hush BK has finally broken his silence.
The fast-rising content creator and musician has issued a public apology after a copyright dispute led to his popular “Malebo” cover being pulled down from YouTube, sparking intense debate across Kenyan social media.
What started as a viral music cover quickly turned into a legal headache.
In a statement shared online, Hush BK expressed regret over the situation and apologized to everyone affected by the controversy. The takedown came after copyright concerns were raised over the song, forcing the cover off YouTube and triggering widespread reactions from fans.

The removal immediately caught attention online, with many supporters questioning what had happened behind the scenes. Others used the moment to reignite conversations about copyright rules, music ownership, and the risks creators face when releasing cover versions of popular songs.
For Hush BK, the fallout has been significant. The “Malebo” cover had already gained traction and was attracting strong engagement before disappearing from the platform.
The incident highlights a growing challenge facing Kenyan musicians and digital creators. As YouTube continues tightening copyright enforcement, even viral content can vanish overnight when ownership disputes emerge. Copyright claims and licensing disagreements have increasingly become a major issue for artists trying to build audiences online.
