The Fast Saga Will Officially Say Goodbye to Paul Walker
The late Paul Walker, who had been an integral part of the Fast and Furious franchise, will reportedly be paid tribute in some way in the upcoming tenth installment.
Walker passed away almost a decade ago due to a car accident during the filming of Furious 7, which was completed with the help of his brothers serving as stand-ins.
Although his character, Brian O’Conner, was referenced in subsequent films, he was mostly absent from the franchise.
In a recent interview with Total Film, Vin Diesel confirmed that Brian will be involved in Fast X in some form, stating that he couldn’t envision the franchise ending without properly saying goodbye to the character.
Diesel also shared insights into the themes that will be explored in the final two-part film, with a focus on contrasting philosophies of freedom represented by cars and the antithesis of that in the form of AI and driverless cars.
Fast X is set to premiere on May 19 and is intended to conclude the franchise once and for all.
