Although John Wick: Chapter 4 experienced a 62% decline in domestic box office revenue during its second weekend, it continues to perform exceptionally well in its second week of release.

Within ten days of its debut, the film has grossed an impressive $245 million worldwide, with $122 million earned in over 3,800 theaters in the US and $123 million obtained from 75 overseas territories.

John Wick: Chapter 4 has already set franchise records with a $73.5 million opening domestically and $137 million globally, surpassing the lifetime grosses of the previous two films in the series. The movie is now targeting John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum’s $327 million global earnings.

The plot of John Wick 4 revolves around the character of John Wick, an assassin, as he is pursued by a multitude of foes after his revenge mission from the first film spirals out of control.

The film is set in various locations, including Japan, Germany, and France, where John Wick engages in combat with his adversaries. Returning cast members include Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, and the late Lance Reddick, while Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, and Rina Sawayama join the franchise as newcomers.

The success of the John Wick series is attributed to its exceptional action choreography and world-building. Although a fifth film in the series is uncertain, two spinoff projects have been confirmed, namely a movie called Ballerina and a prequel series called The Continental.
